Trivia

    Album

  • This film credited its story to the Tamil hit film "Kai Koduttha Dheivam" (1964) starring Sivaji Ganesan. The Tamil film was also remade in Telugu as "Marapurani Katha" (1967) and in Malayalam as "Palunkupaathram" (1970).
  • This film, with Amitabh Bachchan and Anil Dhawan in lead roles, was launched with Jeetendra and Vinod Khanna.[1]

    Song

  • Koi Aur Duniya Mein Tumsa Hasin Hai - According to Anand Bakshi's son Rakesh Bakshi, this song was originally composed and recorded by S.D. Burman for a shelved Ramesh Saigal film in the mid-1960s. Anand Bakshi had written different lyrics for the original song. While R.D. Burman re-used his father's tune, Bakshi wrote new lyrics for this song. Anand Bakshi often sang the S.D. Burman original in private gatherings and parties and it was on one such occasion that Sanjay Khan heard the song and decided to use it in the film "Abdullah" (1979). This recycled version - "Maine Poochha Chand Se" ("Abdullah", 1979) - was a big hit.[2][3]
