Trivia

    Album

  • This film was based on the English novel "Two Leaves and a Bud" (1937) written by Mulk Raj Anand. It was simultaneously produced in Hindi and English. The film's English version was titled "The Wayfarer".
  • The well-known dance group Little Ballet Troupe choreographed the dances in this film. The dance troupe was founded by Shanti Bardhan and his wife Gul in 1952. Gul headed the group after the death of her husband in 1954. She won several awards over her lifetime including the Padma Shri in 2010.

    Song

  • Holi Khele Nandlala Biraj Mein - Other than Ira Majumdar, the song featured a few solo lines by an uncredited male singer.
  • Holi Khele Nandlala Biraj Mein - This Holi song featured the line "Champa kaahe ko bajaye tarsaye jiyara" whose tune was probably taken from the same folk song that inspired another popular Holi song, "Rang Barse Bheege Chunarwali" ("Silsila", 1981).[1]
