Trivia

    Album

  • This was director Priyadarshan's last Hindi film. He was deeply affected by the failure of his previous film "Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal" (2012) and believed that it should never have been made. The director decided to take a break from Hindi films and focus on Malayalam films instead.[1][2]
  • The film was a remake of the Tamil film "Naadodigal" (2009) written and directed by P. Samuthirakani. The Tamil film was also remade in Telugu as "Shambo Shiva Shambo" (2010), in Kannada as "Hudugaru" (2011), and in Malayalam as "Ithu Nammude Katha" (2011).
  • Director Priyadarshan teamed up with cinematographer Santosh Sivan after almost two decades for this film. Prior to this, their last film together was the Malayalam film "Kaalapani" (1996).[3]

    Song

  • Shiv Shambho - Music director C.S. Babu had used the tune of this song earlier for a hit song in the film "Nadodigal" (2009). Shankar Mahadevan sang this song as well as the Tamil original. Sajid - Wajid also adapted this tune for a version sung by Sukhwinder Singh.[4]
