  • Two songs in this Hindi film featured the popular French pianist Richard Clayderman.
  • Director Anurag Basu was diagnosed with blood cancer a few weeks into the shooting of this film. The film was completed by Mahesh Bhatt.[1]
  • This film was an adaptation of the Hollywood comedy "Arthur" (1981) starring Dudley Moore. Prior to this, "Arthur" (1981) had been adapted for another Hindi film, "Sharaabi" (1984).[2]
  • Actress Jiah Khan, who eventually debuted in the film "Nishabd" (2007), was initially selected for the role Dia Mirza played in this film. Jiah was only 16 years old at the time and backed out when she felt that the role of a stripper was too mature for her.[3][4]
