Trivia

    Album

  • The film's title was changed days before its release. A "Why" was added to it based on the recommendation of CBFC.[1]
  • Writer Dinesh Gautam and actor Imran Zahid alleged that the film had plagiarised the script of their film "Marksheet". They claimed that they had registered their script with the Screenwriters Association in 2012. In 2017, Mahesh Bhatt had come on board as a creative director for "Marksheet" and even consulted on its script. Gautam seemed to suggest that the makers of this film had gained access to their script through Bhatt's nephew Emraan Hashmi. Bhatt's spokesperson disassociated the filmmaker from "Marksheet" and said that he had not been involved with it after the initial stages. The makers of this film asserted that their script was still in the works and that it was based on widely reported cases like the 2013 Vyapam scam. While the controversy eventually blew over, it appears that "Marksheet" was never made.[2]
  • This was the debut Hindi film of writer and lyricist Juhi Sakani.

    Song

  • Dil Mein Ho Tum - The hook line of this song used the tune and lyrics of the mukhda of a song from the film "Satyamev Jayate" (1987). The original song was composed by Bappi Lahiri and written by Farooq Qaiser.[3]
