Trivia

    Album

  • This film was based on Shobhana Desai's Gujarati play "Andhalo Pato".
  • This film was Vipul Shah's directorial debut.
  • The film's director Vipul Shah and the producer Gaurang Doshi had a fallout after this film when Vipul Shah wasn't credited on the front cover of the film's DVD and wrongly credited as Vipul Doshi on the back.[1]
  • The film was originally shot with an ending that was eventually distributed only in overseas markets. Vipul Shah had second thoughts after shooting this ending and wasn't sure if the dark and open-ended climax would work with the audience. Amitabh Bachchan thought that the ending was fine, but Vipul Shah played it safe and shot a different, more conventional climax for the Indian audience.[2]

    Song

  • Kuchh Kasmen Hain Jawan - This song appears to have been inspired by the Moody Blues song "Nights In White Satin" (1967).[3]
