Music director Aadesh Shrivastava was in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
He moved to Mumbai to make a career in Bollywood. After a period of strugle, he got a break with the B-grade film "Khatra" (1991). After a few lack-lustre films that went nowhere, his music for “Aao Pyaar Karen” (1994), with songs like “Haathon Mein Jo Aa Gaya Jo Kal” and "Chaand Se Parda Kijiye", became very popular. Some of his popular film scores include "Shastra" (1996), "Angaaray" (1998), "Dahek" (1999), "Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham" (2001), "Baghban" (2003) "Chalte Chalte" (2003), and "Rajneeti" (2010).
Aadesh Shrivastava has judged a number of TV talent shows including "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge". Aadesh has played an active role in the Music Composers Association of India. He is married to Vijeta Pandit, the sister of music composers, Jatin - Lalit.
Aadesh was diagnosed with cancer in 2010 and succumbed to it in 2015.
