- Award-winning filmmaker Amitabh Parashar sent a legal notice to T-Series claiming that the film plagiarised his script and demanded damages of Rs. 5 crores from them. According to Parashar, he had made a documentary on roadside sex shops titled "Death of a Sex Doctor" and later developed it into a script of a comedy film named "Bhag Mohabbat". Parashar said that he had emailed the script to T-Series and received an acknowledgement from them but they had not proceeded further. The filmmaker claimed that he was in talks with another producer when this film was announced, making his script unviable. It is unclear how this matter was eventually resolved.[1]
- Sexologist Dr. Vijay Abbot, practising at Hakim Hari Kishan Lal Shafakhana Clinic, New Delhi, filed a lawsuit claiming that the film defamed his practice and profession and asked for a stay on its release. The Delhi High Court ordered the makers of the film to show it to Dr. Abbot. On hearing the matter further after the viewing, the court ruled that the case was without merit and dismissed it.[2][3]
- This was rapper Badshah's first Hindi film in a lead role. He had made several cameo appearances in films before this.

- Koka Koka - This was a recreated version of a Punjabi non-film song recorded by Jasbir Jassi in 2002. The original song was composed by Jasbir Jassi and Shyam Bhatija and written by Davinder Khandewal.[4]
- Sheher Ki Ladki - This was a recreated version of a song from the film "Rakshak" (1996). The original song was composed by Anand - Milind and written by Deepak Chaudhary. Abhijeet and Chandra Dixit's vocals from the original song were remixed in the recreated version. The song was not used in the film. A promotional video was shot for it featuring Badshah and Diana Penty. Sunil Shetty and Raveena Tandon, the actors who performed the song in "Rakshak" (1996), made a brief appearance in this video.[5]
