Trivia

    Album

  • This was Nyay Sharma's only film as a producer. It was plagued by many problems and was in the making for six years. The film was delayed shortly after its shooting began when cinematographer Nagraj died under mysterious circumstances. The delay depleted the film's budget as well as the time commitments of its actors. Work on the film was resumed after additional finances were secured. However, it turned out to be a failure at the box office when released.[1]
  • The film featured a Bharatanatyam performance by Ragini, of the Travancore Sisters fame. The dance was performed to a song sung by the Carnatic vocalist M.L. Vasanthakumari.

    Song

  • O Mast Nazar Tu Chahe Agar - Singer Thakur Desai took the name of his son, Vinod, as his screen name for this song. He used this pseudonym in another song - "Beta Jag Janwaron Ka Mela" ("Anjali", 1957). The singer's identity was uncovered in the December 2022 edition of the Listeners' Bulletin, published by Har Mandir Singh 'Hamraaz'. Desai sang a couple of other Hindi film songs but hid his identity since he was employed with the police at the time. He remained uncredited in "Teriya Teriya Teriya Totari Teriya Do Jaan Ausne Jo" ("Chalis Baba Ek Chor", 1954) and was credited simply as Thakur in "Dil Ki Umangen Hain Jawan" ("Munimji", 1955).[2][3][4]
