Trivia
- This was a bilingual film released simultaneously in Hindi and Marathi. Its title in Marathi was "Iye Marathichiye Nagari".
- This was music director Vasant Desai's first film with filmmaker V. Shantaram in almost a decade. Their last film together was "Do Ankhen Barah Haath" (1957). Desai had started work on Shantaram's "Navrang" (1959) but quit after he had a falling out with the director. He was then replaced by C. Ramchandra. Desai and Shantaram resolved their differences to work together one last time for this film.[1][2][MR4]
- The cover of the film's originally published music record listed the raag - and in one case specified the folk music origin - of all the songs in it.
