• Mahendra Kapoor, who had debuted earlier with two songs in "Mudmast" (1953), bagged a song in this film as a result of winning the Metro Murphy singing competition held in 1957. Each of the five judges of the competition - Anil Biswas, Naushad, C. Ramchandra, Vasant Desai, and Madan Mohan - had promised to record a Hindi film song with him as a reward for his win. While Naushad gave him a song in this film, he recorded two songs in "Char Dil Char Rahen" (1959) for Anil Biswas, one song in "Ek Shola" (1958) for Madan Mohan, four songs in "Navrang" (1959) for C. Ramchandra, and a song in "Do Behnen" (1959) for Vasant Desai. Among all these opportunities, it was his work in "Navrang" (1959) that catapulted him to fame.[1][2][3][4][5]

• Mera Bichhda Yaar Mila De - This song was a Lata Mangeshkar solo. However, in the film, it was preceded by a line sung by Mohammed Rafi. This line was not part of the version of the song issued on music records.
• Chaand Chhupa Aur Taare Doobe - This song was part of the film's climax. In the film, it was followed by a few lines sung by Mohammed Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar. These lines - starting with "Hamare pyar ke kisse sunaye jayenge" - were not part of the film's music release.
