Singer Sapna Mukherjee was music director Viju Shah's original choice for this song. However, he used Kavita Krishnamurthy's voice eventually on director Rajiv Rai's insistence.[2]
This song was re-created by Tanishq Bagchi for the film "Machine" (2017).[3]
Raveena Tandon couldn't handle Mumbai's heat and fainted during the shooting of this song. Director Rajiv Rai offered to re-schedule the shoot but Raveena was back in action in half an hour.[4]
