  • This film was Ashutosh Gowariker's directorial debut.
  • This was the only film for which brothers Neeraj and Uttank Vora teamed up to compose music. Neeraj Vora went to to build a career as an actor, writer and director, while Uttank composed music independently.
  • This film was adapted from Brian De Palma's thriller "Body Double" (1984).
  • This was the only film in which Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan shared a scene. Both made cameo appearances in the film.
  • Director Ashutosh Gowariker and Aamir Khan, who played a small role in this film, went back to the beginning of their careers. Both had debuted as actors in the film "Holi" (1984). Gowariker would go on to direct Aamir Khan in lead roles in the film "Baazi" (1995) and his career-making film "Lagaan" (2001).[1][2][3]
