Trivia

    Album

  • This was the debut Hindi film of actors Shekhar Kapur and Zarina Wahab. Kapur happened to be Dev Anand's nephew - the son of Anand's sister Sheela Kanta Kapur. Kapur and Wahab appeared in the film in supporting roles. Shekhar Kapur's first film in a lead role was "Jaan Haazir Hai" (1975) and Zarina Wahab's first film in a lead role was "Anokha" (1975).[1][2]
  • Shekhar Kapur and Shabana Azmi became good friends after meeting on the sets of this film. They were later romantically involved and were cast together in a few films, including two in which they were paired onscreen - "Toote Khilone" (1977) and "Jeena Yahan" (1979). The two eventually parted ways, but when Kapur decided to direct his first film, "Masoom" (1983), he brought Shabana Azmi on board.[3][4][5]
