Trivia

    Album

  • This film was a remake of the hit Telugu film "Hello Brother" (1994), starring Nagarjuna. "Hello Brother" itself was adapted from the Hong Kong action comedy "Twin Dragons" (1992), starring Jackie Chan.
  • Director David Dhawan remade this film in 2017 with his son Varun Dhawan in the lead role. Two of its songs were recreated in the remake - "Oonchi Hai Building" and "Tan Tanaa Tan Tan Tan Taaraa Chalti Hai Kya Nau Se Baarah". Salman Khan, who played the lead role in this film, appeared in a cameo role in the reboot. In 2020, David Dhawan remade another of his films "Coolie No. 1" (1995) with Varun in the lead role.[1][2]
  • Music director Koti sampled the song "White Whisper" (1992) by Deep Forest for a recurring musical motif in the background score of this film. He had sampled the same song earlier for the Telugu film song "Priya Raagale" ("Hello Brother", 1994).[3][4]
