Trivia

    Album

  • This was Kishore Kumar's last film as a music director and producer. While the film was conceived in 1983, its audio records were issued in 1988 and it was released in 1990. The film was plagued by many delays due to financial issues. After Kishore Kumar's death in 1987, his son Amit Kumar took the film to completion. The film began with a montage of Kishore Kumar's photographs and songs.
  • Rajesh Khanna agreed to play a cameo role in this film after Amitabh Bachchan refused it. Amitabh's refusal to work in the film led to a tiff between him and Kishore Kumar. Kishore reciprocated by not singing for Amitabh's films for a period of time, including "Pukar" (1983) and Coolie (1983).[1][2]
  • This was actress Leena Chandavarkar's last Hindi film. The film also featured Sumeet Kumar Ganguly, her son with Kishore Kumar.
  • The title of this film was probably inspired by the title of Kishore Kumar's film "Door Gagan Ki Chhaon Mein" (1964).[3]

    Song

  • Mera Geet Adhoora Hai - This was lyricist Shailendra's last recorded Hindi film song. It was also the last time a Kishore Kumar song was picturised on Rajesh Khanna. Their association had started with "Aradhana" (1969) - the film that made Rajesh Khanna a star and gave Kishore Kumar's singing career a new lease of life.[4]
  • Main Ek Panchhi Matwala Re - This song was a re-recording of a song originally recorded for the film "Door Ka Rahi" (1971). Both versions of the song were sung by Amit Kumar.[5]
