Trivia

    Album

  • This was the third film of director Rohit Shetty's "Golmaal" series. The other films in the series were "Golmaal - Fun Unlimited" (2006), "Golmaal Returns" (2008), and "Golmaal Again" (2017).[1][2][3]
  • This film may have been inspired by the American comedy film "Yours, Mine and Ours" (1968) or its adaptations in Hindi - "Khatta Meetha" (1977) or "Hamaare Tumhare" (1978).[4][5]
  • Two songs in this film, featuring Mithun Chakraborty, were re-creations of songs from Mithun's hit film "Disco Dancer" (1982) - "I Am A Disco Dancer" and "Yaad Aa Raha Hai". The producer, director of "Disco Dancer", B. Subhash, was unhappy that these songs were used without his permission and was planning to sue the producers of this film.[6][7]
  • The makers of this film were sued by The Indian Stammering Association for mocking people with disability. Shreyas Talpade's character in this film had a stammering disability,[8]

    Song

  • Ale - The Ale refrain in this song appears to be inspired by the Pet Shop Boys' song "Go West".[9]
